2. Notwithstanding the provision of any law, rule, or regulation to the contrary, a professional or occupational board, designated in section 2 of P.L.1978, C. 73 (45:1-15 Application of act.), that issues a professional or occupational license, certificate of registration, or certification shall not charge a license fee for the issuance of a license to an applicant who holds a driver’s license or identification card with a Gold Star Family designation issued pursuant to section 1 of Phamplet Law 2013, Chapter 165 (C. 39:3-10f6 Display of veteran, Gold Star Family status on driver’s licenses, identification cardS.) or section 2 of P.L.1980, C. 47 (C. 39:3-29.3 Identification cards, issuance; contentS.), respectively.
