Patel, Soltis & Cardenas, LLC. Expands to Four Locations in India to Provide International Services

Jersey City, N.J.  – A growing law firm has expanded to four offices in India. Patel, Soltis & Cardenas, LLC., a firm with its headquarters in Jersey City, New Jersey, with offices in Hackensack, Freehold, Newark, Brooklyn, and Manhattan will now have a presence in Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata.

Services in India will be offered by Patel, Soltis, Cardenas & Bhutas, an Indian Limited Liability Partnership. “This will provide Indians residing in the United States with the option of retaining legal counsel in India to perform litigation or transactional work, without ever having to leave the United States”, said Veer P Patel, the Managing Partner of Patel, Soltis & Cardenas, LLC and a graduate of Rutgers School of Law.  “The Indian diaspora is one of the fastest-growing immigrant groups in the United States. We have put together this international collaboration so everyone’s needs can be addressed in India while they continue to reside and work in the United States,” concluded Patel.

When asked what services are offered, Asha Bhuta, the Managing Partner of Patel, Soltis, Cardenas & Bhutas, LLP. stated, “Our offerings are expansive. We’ve been operating in India for over 25 years prior to this collaboration. We handle matters ranging from import-export, mergers & acquisitions, admiralty law, real estate litigation and probate matters. Transactional work is also a primary area of practice, including the purchase and sale of real estate and businesses.”

As of 2015, the estimated Indian population in the United States increased from 1,780,000 in 2010 to 2,390,000.[i] A growing number of Indians find that they require legal services in India for property and businesses that they still own, or are owned by their parents and relatives. The largest concentration by metropolitan area for Immigrants from India is the New York, Newark, Jersey City area, with 336,000 people, or 1.7% of the Metro Area population.[ii] “Our New Jersey and New York offices are located in the heart of the Indian immigrant community in the United States,” stated Lazaro Cardenas, a Partner at the U.S. offices.

“Clients can expect a consultation with an Indian Advocate by videoconference in any of our American offices. This will let them put a face to the advocate and get a personalized legal experience, even though their matter is being handled thousands of miles away,” explained Veer Patel. “We’ll be able to track files here in the United States and provide updates to our clients as the cases progress. It’s a cutting-edge way to use modern communication technology to have our clients conduct their affairs across borders,” concluded Patel.
