If you have been affected by Steven Salami, we received the below instruction from the Monmouth county Prosecutor’s office.
We were asked to forward this request to our affected clients:
You have been identified by the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office (MCPO) as a victim, or someone representing a victim, of Steven H. Salami. You have spoken with either DSG Kevin Mahoney, or another member of the Financial Crimes Team. We want to provide additional information on the next steps. The MCPO has initiated a criminal investigation. In order to further this investigation it will be necessary for us to collect documents and take formal statements from all victims. Please note that the MCPO will conduct the criminal investigation, but request for return of funds has to go the NJ Lawyers Fund for Client Protection. Please following the next three steps:
- Complete the Monmouth County Prosecutor Victim Information Request and mail the requested information to the following:

- Schedule a time to meet with MCPO Detectives and give a formal statement. If you have completed the above two forms and submitted them both, you may reach out to DSG Mahoney to schedule a formal statement. It should take about 1 hour of your time.
