Mr. Cardenas did the impossible for me. I have never had better service. The width and depth of his experience was... amazing. For two years my brother mismanaged our parents estates in both NJ and NY. Since I was overseas I didn't think I could do anything about it. However, Mr. Cardenas was able to fight on my behalf to have my brother stop stealing from the estates. Both properties are now listed for sale and my brother is being forced to pay back the money he took. Everyone in my family is satisfied, except for him. Mr. Cardenas was amazing.read more

Attorney Lazaro Cardenas is a God-send. Our situation is complicated and I was not even sure my mother's house can be... saved. There were so many complications that I really feared that my brother and I would lose the house. Attorney Cardenas was very reassuring. He was very confident that we will not lose the house and he was right. It took almost a year only because of the process involved in getting documents submitted, records retrieved, and everything else that is expected of getting ownership transferred to my brother and I. To be honest, I am not sure about the actual process because Attorney Cardenas and his office took care of everything. When he felt that the mortgage company was delaying the process, he suggested that we obtain our own financing and referred me to a colleague who was so helpful and so patient and so sensitive to our needs. The whole time he was also checking on financing process to make sure we were not being taken advantage of. He was always on top of everything. Mind you, he is a busy man. But he never took his eyes off of us. He even checked on the new mortgage agreements to make sure we are indeed getting a good deal.Yesterday, July 23rd, we closed on our home. It is officially ours. I had some doubts along the way, brought on by not knowing the process but Attorney Cardenas always allayed my fears. I cannot thank him and his office enough for helping us save our home. My husband and myself are currently in the situation of trying to short sell our house in NJ. We currently live and... have purchased a home in another state. My husband’s employment is in this state so we made the decision to not return to the house in NJ. The short sale fell through a month before the settlement date and faced with a foreclosure and wondering what the ramifications would be to my very good credit I panicked. I reached out to this law office and was promptly contacted by Derek Soltis. After explaining my concerns, he patiently took the time to walk me through my options and what was and was not likely to happen. I called them for a consultation and wanted to pay them for their time. They graciously refused. One of the attorneys... spent about a half hour on the phone with me completely free of charge, walking me through my options and actually commiserating with me! This review is for Derek Soltis - I am a property owner in NYC and had a foreclosure issue with one of my properties. ... Through a phone call Mr. Soltis provided me with the guidance to resolve the issue on my own without hiring him as an attorney. The process was straight forward but was unknown to me. With Derek's advice I was able to address the issue. He took some time to briefly educate me on the "process" and got me pointed in the right direction. I respect that Mr. Soltis assisted me with guidance and did not ask for payment even though this was the first time I had spoken with him. This is the sign of a true professional. I just got off the phone with Derek Soltis and I am so impressed and grateful I found him. I had a couple of... preliminary questions before I even came him and he answered them HONESTLY. Not all attorneys will be so honest if something is worth proceeding forward with....but Derek is so honest and made me feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend this law office based off my conversation with Derek. He is kind, honest, articulate, and actually cares.
